أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهَا جَاءَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ! لَيْسَ لِي شَيْءٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِلَّا مَا أَدْخَلَ عَلَيَّ الزُّبَيْرُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَهَلْ عَلَيَّ جُنَاحٌ فِي أَنْ أَرْضَخَ مِمَّا يُدْخِلُ عَلَيَّ ؟ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ارْضَخِي مَا اسْتَطَعْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا تُوكِي فَيُوكِيَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَيْكِ .

Urdu Translation

اسماء بنت ابی بکر رضی الله عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ   وہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئیں، اور کہنے لگیں: اللہ کے نبی! میرے پاس تو کچھ ہوتا نہیں ہے سوائے اس کے کہ جو زبیر ( میرے شوہر ) مجھے ( کھانے یا خرچ کرنے کے لیے ) دے دیتے ہیں، تو کیا اس دیے ہوئے میں سے میں کچھ ( فقراء و مساکین کو ) دے دوں تو مجھ پر گناہ ہو گا؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”تم جو کچھ دے سکو دو، اور روکو نہیں کہ اللہ عزوجل بھی تم سے روک لے“۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Asma' bint Abi Bakr that she came to the Prophet and said: O Prophet of Allah, I do not have anything but that which Az-Zubair brings to me. Is there any sin on me if I give a small amount of that which he brings to me? He said: Give whatever you can, and do not withhold what you have, lest Allah withhold provision from you.
