أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ،‏‏‏‏ وَهَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ هَنَّادٌ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ادَّهَنَ بِأَطْيَبِ مَا يَجِدُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَتَّى أَرَى وَبِيصَهُ فِي رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ ،‏‏‏‏ تَابَعَهُ إِسْرَائِيلُ عَلَى هَذَا الْكَلَامِ،‏‏‏‏ وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيه، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ.

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں:   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب احرام باندھنے کا ارادہ کرتے ( ہناد کی روایت میں ہے جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم احرام باندھنے کا ارادہ کرتے ) تو اچھے سے اچھا عطر جو آپ کو میسر ہوتا لگاتے یہاں تک کہ میں اس کی چمک آپ کے سر اور داڑھی میں دیکھتی۔ امام نسائی کہتے ہیں: اس بات پر ابواسحاق کی اسرائیل نے متابعت کی ہے انہوں نے اسے «عن عبدالرحمٰن بن الأسود عن أبيه عن عائشة‏» “ کے طریق سے روایت کیا ہے۔

English Translation

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: When the Prophet and (in his narration) Hannad said: The Messenger of Allah wanted to enter Ihram, he would daub the best perfume that he could find, until I saw it glistening on his head and in his beard. (sahih)
