It was narrated from Aishah that the Prophet said: There are five which the Muhrim may kill: snakes, mice, kites, speckled crows and vicious dogs.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ خَمْسٌ يَقْتُلُهُنَّ الْمُحْرِمُ:‏‏‏‏ الْحَيَّةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْفَأْرَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْحِدَأَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْغُرَابُ الْأَبْقَعُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْكَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ .

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”پانچ جانور ایسے ہیں جنہیں محرم مار سکتا ہے: سانپ، چوہیا، چیل، کوا اور کاٹ کھانے والا کتا“۔
