Baab Hajj Ke Ehkaam O Manasik

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَدِمْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَرْبَعٍ مَضَيْنَ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَحِلُّوا وَاجْعَلُوهَا عُمْرَةً ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَضَاقَتْ بِذَلِكَ صُدُورُنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَبُرَ عَلَيْنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَحِلُّوا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَوْلَا الْهَدْيُ الَّذِي مَعِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَفَعَلْتُ مِثْلَ الَّذِي تَفْعَلُونَ ،‏‏‏‏ فَأَحْلَلْنَا حَتَّى وَطِئْنَا النِّسَاءَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفَعَلْنَا مَا يَفْعَلُ الْحَلَالُ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ التَّرْوِيَةِ وَجَعَلْنَا مَكَّةَ بِظَهْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَبَّيْنَا بِالْحَجِّ.

Urdu Translation

جابر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ ( مکہ ) آئے تو ذی الحجہ کی چار تاریخیں گزر چکی تھیں، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”احرام کھول ڈالو اور اسے عمرہ بنا لو“، اس سے ہمارے سینے تنگ ہو گئے، اور ہمیں یہ بات شاق گزری۔ اس کی خبر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ہوئی تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”لوگو! حلال ہو جاؤ ( احرام کھول دو ) اگر میرے ساتھ ہدی نہ ہوتی تو میں بھی وہی کرتا جو تم لوگ کر رہے ہو“، تو ہم نے احرام کھول دئیے، یہاں تک کہ ہم نے اپنی عورتوں سے صحبت کی، اور وہ سارے کام کئے جو غیر محرم کرتا ہے یہاں تک کہ یوم ترویہ یعنی آٹھویں تاریخ آئی، تو ہم مکہ کی طرف پشت کر کے حج کا تلبیہ پکارنے لگے ( اور منیٰ کی طرف چل پڑے ) ۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Jabir said: We came with the Messenger of Allah on the fourth day of Dhul-Hijjah. The prophet said: 'Exit Ihram and make it Umrah.' We were distressed and upset by that. News of that reached the Messenger of Allah and he said: 'O people, exit Ihram. Were if not for the Hadi that I brought with me, I would have done what you are doing.' So we exited Ihram, and had intercourse with our wives, ad we did everything that the non-Muhrim does until the day of At-Tarwiyah, when we put Makkah behind us (When we headed for Mina) and entered Ihram for Hajj.
