It was narrated that 'Imran bin Husain said: The Messenger of Allah said: There is no vow to commit an act of disobedience or with regard to that which the son of Adam does not possess.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي أَيُّوبُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قِلَابَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمِّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا نَذْرَ فِي مَعْصِيَةٍ وَلَا فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ ابْنُ آدَمَ .

عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:  معصیت میں کوئی نذر نہیں اور نہ ہی ایسی چیز میں کوئی نذر ہے جس کا آدمی کو اختیار نہیں ۔
