Sunan An Nasai 3914 - The Book Of Mazara'h

Sunan An Nasai 3914 is a hadith from The Book Of Mazara'h compiled by Imam An-Nasai. أَخْبَرَنَا الثِّقَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ الْمُزَابَنَةِ وَالْمُخَاضَرَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْمُخَاضَرَةُ:‏‏‏‏ بَيْعُ الثَّمَرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَزْهُوَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْمُخَابَرَةُ:‏‏‏‏ بَيْعُ الْكَرْمِ بِكَذَا وَكَذَا صَاعٍ . خَالَفَهُ عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ.

Urdu Translation

جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بیع مزابنہ اور مخاضرہ سے منع فرمایا ہے۔ اور کہا مخاضرہ: پھل کو پکنے سے پہلے بیچنا اور مخابرہ  ( درخت کی )  انگور کو خشک انگور کے اتنے اتنے صاع کے بدلے بیچنا ہے۔ اس میں عمرو بن ابی سلمہ نے یحییٰ کی مخالفت کی ہے، انہوں نے اسے اپنے باپ ابوسلمہ سے، اور ابوسلمہ نے، ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی حدیث سے روایت کیا ہے۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Jabir bin 'Abdullah that the Prophet forbade Al-Muzabanah and Al-Mukhadarah. He (one of the narrators) said: Al-Mukhadarah means selling fruit before it ripens and Al-Mukhabarah means selling grapes in return for a certain number of Sa's.
