Baab Larai Ki Kitab [Khoon Behne ki Mumaniat]

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا يَزِيدُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّ الذَّنْبِ أَعْظَمُ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الشِّرْكُ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ لِلَّهِ نِدًّا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنْ تُزَانِيَ بِحَلِيلَةِ جَارِكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنْ تَقْتُلَ وَلَدَكَ مَخَافَةَ الْفَقْرِ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ مَعَكَ . ثُمَّ قَرَأَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ:‏‏‏‏ وَالَّذِينَ لا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ سورة الفرقان آية 68. قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا خَطَأٌ،‏‏‏‏ وَالصَّوَابُ الَّذِي قَبْلَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَدِيثُ يَزِيدَ هَذَا خَطَأٌ،‏‏‏‏ إِنَّمَا هُوَ وَاصِلٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَعْلَمُ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا: کون سا گناہ سب سے بڑا ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:  شرک یعنی یہ کہ تم کسی کو اللہ کے برابر ٹھہراؤ، اپنے پڑوسی کی بیوی سے زنا کرو، اور فقر و فاقہ کے ڈر سے کہ بچہ تمہارے ساتھ کھائے گا تم اپنے بچے کو قتل کر دو ، پھر عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے یہ آیت پڑھی «والذين لا يدعون مع اللہ إلها آخر»  اور جو لوگ اللہ کے ساتھ کسی دوسرے معبود کو نہیں پکارتے ہیں ۔ ابوعبدالرحمٰن  ( نسائی )  کہتے ہیں: اس حدیث کی سند میں غلطی ہے، اس سے پہلے والی سند صحیح ہے، یزید کی اس سند میں غلطی ہے  ( کہ واصل کی بجائے عاصم ہے )  صحیح«واصل» ہے۔

English Translation

It was narrated that 'Abdullah said: I asked the Messenger of Allah [SAW], which sin is most grievous? He said: Shirk, setting up a rival to Allah, committing adultery with your neighbor's wife, and killing your child for fear of poverty, and that he may eat with you. Then 'Abdullah recited the Verse: And those who invoke not any other Ilah (god) along with Allah.
