أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ أَبِي السَّفَرِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل، عَنْ قَيْسٍ، قَالَ: بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: اسْتَنْصِتِ النَّاسَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: لَا أُلْفِيَنَّكُمْ بَعْدَ مَا أَرَى تَرْجِعُونَ بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ .
جریر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ مجھ سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”لوگوں سے خاموش رہنے کو کہو“، پھر فرمایا: ”اس کے بعد جب میں تمہیں دیکھوں ( قیامت کے روز ) تو ایسا نہ پاؤں کہ تم کافر ہو جاؤ اور ایک دوسرے کی گردنیں مارو“۔
It was narrated that Jarir bin 'Abdullah said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said to me: 'Ask the people to be quiet and listen.' Then he said: 'I do not want to see you after I am gone reverting to disbelievers, striking the necks of one another (killing one another).'
