أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْهِجْرَةِ ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَيْحَكَ،‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ شَأْنَ الْهِجْرَةِ شَدِيدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَهَلْ لَكَ مِنْ إِبِلٍ ؟ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَهَلْ تُؤَدِّي صَدَقَتَهَا ؟ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ. قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَاعْمَلْ مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْبِحَارِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَنْ يَتِرَكَ مِنْ عَمَلِكَ شَيْئًا .

Urdu Translation

ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   ایک اعرابی نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ہجرت کے متعلق سوال کیا تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”تمہارا برا ہو۔ ہجرت کا معاملہ تو سخت ہے۔ کیا تمہارے پاس اونٹ ہیں؟“ اس نے کہا: جی ہاں۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ”کیا تم ان کی زکاۃ نکالتے ہو؟“ کہا: جی ہاں، آپ نے فرمایا: ”جاؤ، پھر سمندروں کے اس پار رہ کر عمل کرو، اللہ تمہارے عمل سے کچھ بھی کم نہیں کرے گا“ ۱؎۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed that: a Bedouin asked the Messenger of Allah about emigration (Hijrah). He said: Woe to you, emigration is very important. Do you have any camels? He said: Yes. He said: Do you pay Sadaqah on them? He said: Yes. He said: Do righteous deeds no matter how far away you are from the Muslims, for Allah, the Mighty and sublime, will never cause any of your deeds tobe lost.
