أَخْبَرَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَيَانٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي سَلَمَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ نَمْلَةً قَرَصَتْ نَبِيًّا مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَمَرَ بِقَرْيَةِ النَّمْلِ فَأُحْرِقَتْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَوْحَى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَيْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْ قَدْ قَرَصَتْكَ نَمْلَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَهْلَكْتَ أُمَّةً مِنَ الْأُمَمِ تُسَبِّحُ .

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ایک چیونٹی نے نبیوں میں سے ایک نبی کو کاٹ لیا تو انہوں نے چیونٹیوں کے گھر کو جلا دینے کا حکم دیا اور وہ جلا دیا گیا، اس پر اللہ تعالیٰ نے وحی نازل کی: اگر تمہیں کسی چیونٹی نے کاٹ لیا تھا تو ( ایک ہی کو مارتے مگر ) تم نے ایک ایسی امت ( مخلوق ) کو مار ڈالا جو ( ہماری ) تسبیح ( پاکی بیان ) کر رہی تھی“ ۱؎۔

English Translation

Was narrated from Abu Hurairah from the Messenger of Allah: An ant bit one of the prophets, and he ordered that the ant nest be burned. Then Allah revealed to him: One ant bit you, and you destroyed one of the nations that glorify Allah.
