أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ صَالِحٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ سَالِمًا أَخْبَرَهُ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ،‏‏‏‏ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ أَخْبَرَهُ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ رَخَّصَ فِي بَيْعِ الْعَرَايَا بِالرُّطَبِ وَبِالتَّمْرِ،‏‏‏‏ وَلَمْ يُرَخِّصْ فِي غَيْرِ ذَلِكَ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   ان سے زید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عاریت والی بیع میں اجازت دی کہ وہ توڑی ہوئی تازہ اور سوکھی کھجور سے بیچی جا سکتی ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ کسی اور چیز میں رخصت نہیں دی۔

English Translation

It was narrated the Zaid bin Thabit sadi: The Messenger of Allah granted a concession allowing 'Araya sales for fresh dates and for dried dates, but he did not allow anything other than that.
