Baab Qasama, Qasas Aur Diyat Ke Ehkaam O Masail

أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ كَتَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ عَلَى كُلِّ بَطْنٍ عُقُولَةً وَلَا يَحِلُّ لِمَوْلًى أَنْ يَتَوَلَّى مُسْلِمًا بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِهِ .

Urdu Translation

جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے لکھا: ہر قوم پر اس کی دیت ہے۔ اور کسی غلام کے لیے نہیں کہ وہ اپنے مالک کی اجازت کے بغیر کسی مسلمان کو اپنا ولاء دے ۱؎۔

English Translation

Jabir said: The Messenger of Allah ruled that every clan should take part in paying the blood money, and it is not permissible for a freed slave to take a Muslim (other than the one who freed him) as his Mawla (Patron) without the permission (of his former master who set him free)
