أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ مِينَاءَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ انْتَدَبَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ يَخْرُجُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ لَا يُخْرِجُهُ إِلَّا الْإِيمَانُ بِي،‏‏‏‏ وَالْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِي أَنَّهُ ضَامِنٌ حَتَّى أُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ بِأَيِّهِمَا كَانَ إِمَّا بِقَتْلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِمَّا وَفَاةٍ أَوْ أَنْ يَرُدَّهُ إِلَى مَسْكَنِهِ الَّذِي خَرَجَ مِنْهُ يَنَالُ مَا نَالَ مِنْ أَجْرٍ أَوْ غَنِيمَةٍ .

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے ایسے شخص کو جو اس کی راہ میں نکلتا ہے ( یعنی جہاد کے لیے ) اور اس کا یہ نکلنا صرف اللہ پر اپنے ایمان کے تقاضے اور اس کی راہ میں جہاد کے جذبے سے ہے ( تو اللہ نے ایسے شخص کی ) ضمانت اپنے ذمہ لے لی ہے کہ میں اسے جنت میں داخل کروں گا چاہے وہ قتل ہو کر مرا ہو، یا اپنی طبعی موت پائی ہو، یا میں اسے اس اجر و ثواب اور مال غنیمت کے ساتھ جو اسے ملا ہو اور جو بھی ملا ہو، اس کے اپنے اس گھر پر واپس پہنچا دوں گا جہاں سے وہ جہاد کے لیے نکلا تھا“۔

English Translation

Abu Hurairah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say: 'Allah has promised the one who goes out in His cause 'and does not go out except with faith in Me and for Jihad in My cause,' that he is guaranteed to enter Paradise no matter how, either he is killed, or he dies, or he will be brought back to his home from which he departed having acquired whatever he acquired of reward or spoils of war.'
