Baab Zeenat O Araish Ke Ehkaam O Masail

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ سَتَّرْتُ بِقِرَامٍ عَلَى سَهْوَةٍ لِي فِيهِ تَصَاوِيرُ،‏‏‏‏ فَنَزَعَهُ وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَشَدُّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الَّذِينَ يُضَاهُونَ بِخَلْقِ اللَّهِ .

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سفر سے آئے، میں نے ایک روشندان میں ایک پردہ لٹکا رکھا تھا، جس میں تصویریں تھیں، چنانچہ آپ نے اسے اتار دیا اور فرمایا: ”قیامت کے روز سب سے سخت عذاب والے وہ لوگ ہوں گے جو اللہ کی مخلوق کی تصویریں بناتے ہیں“۔

English Translation

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] came from a journey, and I had hung a curtain on which there were images over a niche. He took it down and said: 'The people who will be most severely punished on the Day of Resurrection will be those who try to match the creation of Allah.'
