Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated that: The Prophet [SAW] forbade mixing Al-Busr with dried dates, or raisins with dried dates, or raisins with Al-Busr, and he said: Whoever among you (wants to) drink them, let him drink each one on its own.

أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُتَوَكِّلِ النَّاجِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَى أَنْ يُخْلَطَ بُسْرًا بِتَمْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ زَبِيبًا بِتَمْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ زَبِيبًا بِبُسْرٍ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ شَرِبَ مِنْكُمْ فَلْيَشْرَبْ كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُ فَرْدًا . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا أَبُو الْمُتَوَكِّلِ اسْمُهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ دَاوُدَ.

ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ادھ کچی کو سوکھی کھجور میں ملانے یا کشمش ( خشک انگور ) کو سوکھی کھجور میں یا کشمش کو ادھ کچی کھجور میں ملانے سے منع فرمایا اور فرمایا: ”تم میں سے جو کوئی پینا چاہے تو ان میں سے ہر ایک کو الگ الگ کر کے پئے“۔ ابوعبدالرحمٰن ( نسائی ) کہتے ہیں: ابوالمتوکل کا نام علی بن داود ہے۔
