Baab Mashroobat Se Mutaliq Ehkaam O Masail

أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يُونُسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِهِ بِقَدَحَيْنِ مِنْ خَمْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَبَنٍ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِمَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَخَذَ اللَّبَنَ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ لَهُ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام:‏‏‏‏ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَاكَ لِلْفِطْرَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَوْ أَخَذْتَ الْخَمْرَ غَوَتْ أُمَّتُكَ .

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   «اسراء» ( معراج ) کی رات رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس شراب اور دودھ کے دو پیالے لائے گئے، آپ نے انہیں دیکھا تو دودھ لے لیا، جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے کہا: اللہ کا شکر ہے جس نے آپ کو فطری چیز کی ہدایت دی، اگر آپ شراب لے لیتے تو آپ کی امت گمراہ ہو جاتی۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: On the night on which he was taken on the Night Journey (Al-Isra'), two cups, of wine and milk, were brought to the Messenger of Allah [SAW]. He looked at them and chose the milk. Jibril, peace be upon him, said to him: 'Praise be to Allah Who has guided you to the Fitrah. If you have chosen the wine, your Ummah would have gone astray.'
