It was narrated from Ma'mar, from Az-Zuhri, from Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab, that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Whoever forgets a prayer, let him pray it when he remembers it, for Allah says: and perform prayer when you remember (li dhikra).' I said to Az-Zuhri: Is that how the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) recited it? He said: Yes.

أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ نَسِيَ صَلَاةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلْيُصَلِّهَا إِذَا ذَكَرَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ 0 أَقِمْ الصَّلَاةَ لِلذِّكْرَى 0 . قُلْتُ لِلزُّهْرِيِّ:‏‏‏‏ هَكَذَا قَرَأَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ.

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:  جو آدمی نماز بھول جائے تو جب اسے یاد آئے پڑھ لے، اس لیے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کا ارشاد ہے: نماز قائم کرو یاد آنے پر ، معمر کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے زہری سے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسی طرح پڑھا ہے؟ کہا: ہاں   ( یعنی: «للذکریٰ» ) ۔
