أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي صَالِحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا وَلَغَ الْكَلْبُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيُرِقْهُ ثُمَّ لِيَغْسِلْهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ:‏‏‏‏ لَا أَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا تَابَعَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ مُسْهِرٍ عَلَى قَوْلِهِ فَلْيُرِقْهُ.

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:  جب کتا تم میں سے کسی کے برتن میں منہ ڈال دے، تو وہ  ( جو کچھ اس برتن میں ہو )  اسے بہا دے، پھر سات مرتبہ اسے دھوئے ۔ ابوعبدالرحمٰن کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے اس بات کا علم نہیں کہ کسی شخص نے علی بن مسہر کی ان کے قول «فلیرقہ» پر متابعت کی ہو۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'If a dog licks the vessel of any one of you, let him throw (the contents) away and wash it seven times.' Abu 'Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasa'i) said: I do not know any one who followed 'Ali bin Mushir in narrating it with: Let him throw it away.
