أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَ اللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَى وَفِي الْعَصْرِ نَحْوَ ذَلِكَ وَفِي الصُّبْحِ بِأَطْوَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ .

Urdu Translation

جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ظہر میں «والليل إذا يغشى» پڑھتے تھے، اور عصر میں اسی جیسی سورت پڑھتے، اور صبح میں اس سے زیادہ لمبی سورت پڑھتے۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Jabir bin Samurah said: The Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite By the night as it envelops in Zuhr and something similar in 'Asr, and he would recite something longer than that in subh.
