حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْزِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَن عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ الْأُمِّيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّنِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِلَّا مُؤْمِنٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا يُبْغِضُنِي إِلَّا مُنَافِقٌ .

Urdu Translation

علی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی امّی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے فرمایا: مجھ سے صرف مومن ہی محبت کرے گا، مجھ سے صرف منافق ہی بغض رکھے گا ۔

English Translation

It was narrated that 'Ali said: The Unlettered Prophet informed me (saying) that none but a believer would love me and none but a hypocrite would hate me.
