It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin Malik bin Buhainah said: “The Prophet (ﷺ) passed by a man who was praying when the Iqamah for Subh prayer had been called, and he said something to him, I do not know what he said. When he finished, we surrounded the man and asked him: ‘What did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say to you?’ He said: ‘He said to me: “Soon one of you will pray Fajr with four Rak’ah.’”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَرْوَانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْعُثْمَانِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِرَجُلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ أُقِيمَتْ صَلَاةُ الصُّبْحِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَكَلَّمَهُ بِشَيْءٍ لَا أَدْرِي مَا هُوَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ أَحَطْنَا بِهِ نَقُولُ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ مَاذَا قَالَ لَكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ لِي:‏‏‏‏ يُوشِكُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ الْفَجْرَ أَرْبَعًا .

عبداللہ بن مالک بن بحینہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک شخص کے پاس سے گزرے جو نماز پڑھ رہا تھا، اور نماز فجر کے لیے اقامت کہی جا رہی تھی، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس سے کچھ کہا جو میری سمجھ میں نہیں آیا، جب وہ شخص نماز سے فارغ ہوا تو ہم اس کے گرد یہ پوچھنے کے لیے جمع ہو گئے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے تم سے کیا کہا تھا؟ اس شخص نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے فرمایا: قریب ہے کہ اب تم میں سے کوئی فجر کی نماز چار رکعت پڑھے ۱؎۔
