حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا يُصَلِّي الْإِمَامُ فِي مُقَامِهِ الَّذِي صَلَّى فِيهِ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَتَّى يَتَنَحَّى عَنْهُ .

Urdu Translation

مغیرہ بن شعبہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: امام اس جگہ سنت ( نفل نماز ) نہ پڑھے جہاں پر اس نے فرض پڑھائی ہے، جب تک کہ وہاں سے دور نہ جائے ۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Al-Mughirah bin Shu’bah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The Imam should not pray in the place where he offered the obligatory prayer, until he moves aside.” Another chain from Mughirah, from the Prophet (ﷺ) with similar wording.
