It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Prophet (ﷺ) recited the Opening of the Book (Al-Fatihah) in the funeral prayer.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ قَرَأَ عَلَى الْجِنَازَةِ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ .

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز جنازہ میں سورۃ فاتحہ پڑھی ۱؎۔
