It was narrated from Ibn Umar that: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Do not prevent the female slaves of Allah from praying in the mosque. A son of his said: We will indeed prevent them! He got very angry and said: I tell you a Hadith from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and you say, we will indeed prevent them?!

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْبَأَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَالِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تَمْنَعُوا إِمَاءَ اللَّهِ أَنْ يُصَلِّينَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ ابْنٌ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّا لَنَمْنَعُهُنَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَغَضِبَ غَضَبًا شَدِيدًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنِّي أُحَدِّثُكَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَإِنَّكَ تَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّا لَنَمْنَعُهُنَّ؟.

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم اللہ کی بندیوں ( عورتوں ) کو مسجد میں نماز پڑھنے سے نہ روکو ، تو ان کے ایک بیٹے نے ان سے کہا: ہم تو انہیں ضرور روکیں گے، یہ سن کر ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سخت ناراض ہوئے اور بولے: میں تم سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی حدیث بیان کر رہا ہوں اور تم کہتے ہو کہ ہم انہیں ضرور روکیں گے؟ ۱؎۔
