Sunan Ibn Majah 1703 - Fasting

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبِيتُ جُنُبًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيَأْتِيهِ بِلَالٌ فَيُؤْذِنُهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ فَيَقُومُ فَيَغْتَسِلُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَنْظُرُ إِلَى تَحَدُّرِ الْمَاءِ مِنْ رَأْسِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُ فَأَسْمَعُ صَوْتَهُ فِي صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ مُطَرِّفٌ:‏‏‏‏ فَقُلْتُ لِعَامِرٍ:‏‏‏‏ أَفِي رَمَضَانَ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ رَمَضَانُ وَغَيْرُهُ سَوَاءٌ.

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جنابت کی حالت میں رات گزارتے تھے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس بلال رضی اللہ عنہ آتے، اور آپ کو نماز کی اطلاع دیتے تو آپ اٹھتے اور غسل فرماتے، میں آپ کے سر سے پانی ٹپکتے ہوئے دیکھتی تھی، پھر آپ نکلتے تو میں نماز فجر میں آپ کی آواز سنتی۔ مطرف کہتے ہیں: میں نے عامر سے پوچھا: کیا ایسا رمضان میں ہوتا؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ رمضان اور غیر رمضان سب برابر تھا۔

English Translation

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: “The Prophet (ﷺ) used to spend the night in a state of sexual impurity, then Bilal would come to him and inform him that it is time for prayer. So he would get up and have a bath, and I would see the water dripping from his head, then he would go out and I would hear his voice during Fajr prayer.”
