Waki' bin Hudus narrated that his paternal uncle Abu Razin said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah laughs at the despair of His slaves although He soon changes it.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, does the Lord laugh?' He said: 'Yes.' I said: 'We shall never be deprived of good by a Lord Who laughs.'

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ وَكِيعِ بْنِ حُدُسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَبِي رَزِينٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ ضَحِكَ رَبُّنَا مِنْ قُنُوطِ عِبَادِهِ وَقُرْبِ غِيَرِهِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَوَ يَضْحَكُ الرَّبُّ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ لَنْ نَعْدِمَ مِنْ رَبٍّ يَضْحَكُ خَيْرًا.

ابورزین رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ہمارا رب اپنے بندوں کے مایوس ہونے سے ہنستا ہے جب کہ اللہ کی طرف سے ان کی حالت بدلنے کا وقت قریب ہوتا ہے ، وہ کہتے ہیں: میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! کیا رب ہنستا ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ہاں ، تو میں نے عرض کیا: تب تو ہم ایسے رب کے خیر سے ہرگز محروم نہ رہیں گے جو ہنستا ہے ۱؎۔
