حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَدِيِّ ابْنِ حَاتِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا سَيُكَلِّمُهُ رَبُّهُ لَيْسَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهُ تُرْجُمَانٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيَنْظُرُ أَمَامَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَتَسْتَقْبِلُهُ النَّارُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَنْظُرُ عَنْ أَيْمَنَ مِنْهُ فَلَا يَرَى إِلَّا شَيْئًا قَدَّمَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَنْظُرُ عَنْ أَشْأَمَ مِنْهُ فَلَا يَرَى إِلَّا شَيْئًا قَدَّمَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَمَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَتَّقِيَ النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ فَلْيَفْعَلْ .

Urdu Translation

عدی بن حاتم رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اللہ تعالیٰ تم میں سے ہر شخص سے قیامت کے دن کلام کرے گا، اور دونوں کے درمیان کوئی ترجمان نہ ہو گا، وہ اپنے سامنے دیکھے گا تو آگ ہو گی، دائیں جانب دیکھے گا تو اپنے اعمال کے سوا کچھ نہ پائے گا، اور بائیں دیکھے گا تو اپنے اعمال کے سوا ادھر بھی کچھ نہ دیکھے گا، لہٰذا تم میں سے جو جہنم سے بچ سکے تو اپنے بچاؤ کا سامان کرے، اگرچہ کھجور کا ایک ٹکڑا ہی صدقہ کر کے ۔

English Translation

Adi bin Hatim narrated that: the Messenger of Allah said: “Each one of you will be spoken to by his lord, with no mediator between them. He will look in from of him and the fire will be facing him. He will look to his right and will not see anything but something that he had sent on before. He will look to his left and will not see anything but something that he had sent on before. Whoeever among you can save himself in Fire, even with half a date, let him do so.”
