حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّه صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْسِمُ بَيْنَ نِسَائِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيَعْدِلُ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ هَذَا فِعْلِي فِيمَا أَمْلِكُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَا تَلُمْنِي فِيمَا تَمْلِكُ وَلَا أَمْلِكُ .

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنی بیویوں کے درمیان باری مقرر کرتے، اور باری میں انصاف کرتے، پھر فرماتے تھے: اے اللہ! یہ میرا کام ہے جس کا میں مالک ہوں، لہٰذا تو مجھے اس معاملہ ( محبت کے معاملہ ) میں ملامت نہ کر جس کا تو مالک ہے، اور میں مالک نہیں ہوں ۱؎۔

English Translation

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: The Messenger of Allah used to divide his time equally among his wives, then he would say 'O Allah, this is what I am doing with regard to that which is within my control, so do not hold me accountable for that which is under Your control and is beyond my control.'
