حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ ابْنَا أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قَائِدِ السَّائِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ السَّائِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنْتَ شَرِيكِي فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَكُنْتَ خَيْرَ شَرِيكٍ لَا تُدَارِينِي وَلَا تُمَارِينِي .

Urdu Translation

سائب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! زمانہ جاہلیت میں آپ میرے شریک تھے، تو آپ بہت بہترین شریک ثابت ہوئے نہ آپ میری مخالفت کرتے تھے نہ جھگڑتے تھے ۱؎۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Sa'ib said to the Prophet (ﷺ): You were my partner during the Ignorance period and you were the best of partners, you did not contend or dispute.
