حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ ظَبْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْمُدَبَّرُ مِنَ الثُّلُثِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ ابْن مَاجَةَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ يَعْنِي:‏‏‏‏ ابْنَ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا خَطَأٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَعْنِي:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثَ:‏‏‏‏ الْمُدَبَّرُ مِنَ الثُّلُثِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد اللَّهِ:‏‏‏‏ لَيْسَ لَهُ أَصْلٌ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: مدبر غلام میت کے تہائی مال میں سے شمار ہو گا ۔ ابن ماجہ کہتے ہیں: میں نے عثمان یعنی ابن ابی شیبہ کو کہتے سنا کہ یہ روایت یعنی «المدبر من الثلث» کی حدیث صحیح نہیں ہے۔ ابوعبداللہ ابن ماجہ کہتے ہیں: اس کی کوئی اصل نہیں ہے۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn`Umar that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The Mudabbar is part of the one third of the estate.”
