حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ أُمِّي افْتُلِتَتْ نَفْسُهَا وَلَمْ تُوصِ وَإِنِّي أَظُنُّهَا لَوْ تَكَلَّمَتْ لَتَصَدَّقَتْ فَلَهَا أَجْرٌ إِنْ تَصَدَّقْتُ عَنْهَا وَلِيَ أَجْرٌ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ .

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ   ایک شخص نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں آیا، اور اس نے عرض کیا: میری ماں کا اچانک انتقال ہو گیا، اور وہ وصیت نہیں کر سکیں، میرا خیال ہے کہ اگر وہ بات چیت کر پاتیں تو صدقہ ضرور کرتیں، تو کیا اگر میں ان کی جانب سے صدقہ کروں تو انہیں اور مجھے اس کا ثواب ملے گا یا نہیں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ہاں ( ملے گا ) ۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Aishah that a man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: “My mother died unexpectedly and she had not made a will. I think that if she could have spoken, she would have given in charity. Will she have a reward if I give in charity on her behalf, and will I have a reward?” He said: “Yes.”
