حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ:‏‏‏‏ وَأَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ سورة الأنفال آية 60، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَلَا وَإِنَّ الْقُوَّةَ الرَّمْيُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ .

Urdu Translation

عقبہ بن عامر جہنی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو منبر پر آیت کریمہ: «وأعدوا لهم ما استطعتم من قوة» ( سورۃ الانفال: ۶۰ ) دشمن کے لیے طاقت بھر تیاری کرو کو پڑھتے ہوئے سنا: ( اس کے بعد آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرما رہے تھے: ) آگاہ رہو! طاقت کا مطلب تیر اندازی ہی ہے یہ جملہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے تین بار فرمایا۔

English Translation

It was narrated that ‘Uqbah bin ‘Amir Al-Juhani said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) reciting on the pulpit: ‘And make ready against them all you can of power.’[8:60] (And saying that) three times – ‘Power means shooting.”
