It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to travel for more than one day’s distance without a Mahram.”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ تُسَافِرَ مَسِيرَةَ يَوْمٍ وَاحِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَيْسَ لَهَا ذُو حُرْمَةٍ .

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کسی عورت کے لیے جو اللہ اور یوم آخرت پر ایمان رکھتی ہو، یہ درست نہیں ہے کہ وہ ایک دن کی مسافت کا سفر کرے، اور اس کے ساتھ کوئی محرم نہ ہو ۔
