حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ صَحِبْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ مِنْ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى مَكَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَمَا سَمِعْتُهُ يُحَدِّثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِحَدِيثٍ وَاحِدٍ .

Urdu Translation

سائب بن یزید کہتے ہیں کہ   میں سعد بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کے ساتھ مدینہ سے مکہ تک گیا، لیکن راستے بھر میں نے آپ کو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ایک حدیث بھی بیان کرتے ہوئے نہیں سنا۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Sa'ib bin Yazid said: I accompanied Sa'd bin Malik from Al-Madinah to Makkah and I did not hear him narrate a single Hadith from the Prophet (ﷺ).
