Baab Mashroobat Se Mutaliq Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَيَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَرْبُوعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْعَجُّ وَالثَّجُّ .

Urdu Translation

ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا گیا: سب سے بہتر عمل کون سا ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: «عج» اور«ثج» ، یعنی باآواز بلند تلبیہ پکارنا، اور خون بہانا ( یعنی قربانی کرنا ) ۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Bakr As-Siddiq that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked: “Which actions are best?” He said: “Raising one’s voice and slaughtering the sacrificial animal.”
