حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْأَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّهُ لَمَّا فَرَغَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ طَوَافِ الْبَيْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَتَى مَقَامَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ عُمَرُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏هَذَا مَقَامُ أَبِينَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ الَّذِي قَالَ اللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ:‏‏‏‏ وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى سورة البقرة آية 125 ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ الْوَلِيدُ:‏‏‏‏ فَقُلْتُ لِمَالِكٍ:‏‏‏‏ هَكَذَا قَرَأَهَا وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى سورة البقرة آية 125، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ.

Urdu Translation

جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بیت اللہ کے طواف سے فارغ ہوئے تو مقام ابراہیم کے پاس آئے، عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! یہ ہمارے باپ ابراہیم کی جگہ ہے جس کے متعلق اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا ہے: «واتخذوا من مقام إبراهيم مصلى» مقام ابراھیم کو نماز کی جگہ بناؤ ، ولید کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے مالک سے کہا: کیا اس کو اسی طرح ( بکسر خاء ) صیغہ امر کے ساتھ پڑھا؟ انہوں نے کہا: ہاں ۱؎۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Jabir said: “When Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) finished circumambulating the House, he came to Maqam Ibrahim. ‘Umar said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, this is the Maqam of our father Ibrahim, about which Allah says, “And take you (people) the Maqam (place) of Ibrahim as a place of prayer.’” [2:125]
