It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was never asked about someone who had done one thing before another, but he would gesture with both his hands to say: ‘There is no harm in that.’”

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَمَّنْ قَدَّمَ شَيْئًا قَبْلَ شَيْءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِلَّا يُلْقِي بِيَدَيْهِ كِلْتَيْهِمَا لَا حَرَجَ .

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے جب بھی اس شخص کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا جس نے حج کے کسی عمل کو دوسرے پر مقدم کر دیا، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے دونوں ہاتھوں سے یہی اشارہ کیا کہ کوئی حرج نہیں ۔
