Baab Mashroobat Se Mutaliq Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَهَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَمْ يُرَخِّصْ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَحَدٍ يَبِيتُ بِمَكَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِلَّا لِلْعَبَّاسِ مِنْ أَجْلِ السِّقَايَةِ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( منیٰ کے دنوں میں ) کسی کو مکہ میں رات گزارنے کی اجازت نہیں دی سوائے عباس کے، کیونکہ حاجیوں کو پانی پلانے کا کام ان کے سپرد تھا۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said: “The Prophet (ﷺ) did not allow anyone to stay overnight in Makkah apart from ‘Abbas, for the purpose of supplying water to the pilgrims.”
