حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ،‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ هَانِئٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ مَسْرُوقِ بْنِ الْأَجْدَعِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنِّي كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْأَوْعِيَةِ،‏‏‏‏ أَلَا وَإِنَّ وِعَاءً لَا يُحَرِّمُ شَيْئًا،‏‏‏‏ كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں نے تمہیں ( مخصوص ) برتنوں میں نبیذ بنانے سے منع کیا تھا، سنو! برتن کی وجہ سے کوئی چیز حرام نہیں ہوتی، البتہ ہر نشہ لانے والی چیز حرام ہے ۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn Mas’ud that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “I used to forbid you from making Nabidh in certain vessels, but a vessel does not make something unlawful. All intoxicants are unlawful.”
