Baab Ayaam Fitn Ke Ehkaam Aur Ummat May Waqay Hone Wale Fitno Ki Paishan Goyian

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَزِّمِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ ّالنَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ فِي ذُيُولِ النِّسَاءِ:‏‏‏‏ شِبْرًا ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ عَائِشَةُ:‏‏‏‏ إِذًا تَخْرُجَ سُوقُهُنَّ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَذِرَاعٌ .

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عورتوں کے دامن کے سلسلے میں فرمایا: ایک بالشت کا ہو ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے عرض کیا کہ اتنے میں تو پنڈلی کھل جائے گی؟ فرمایا: تو پھر ایک ہاتھ ہو ۔

English Translation

It was narrated from ‘Aishah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, concerning how long a woman’s hem should hang down: “A hand span.” ‘Aishah said: “This may show her calves.” He said: “Then a forearm’s length.”
