حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَاسٌ مِنْ الْيَهُودِ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ السَّامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَعَلَيْكُمْ .

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس کچھ یہودی آئے، اور کہا: «السام عليك يا أبا القاسم» اے ابوالقاسم تم پر موت ہو ، تو آپ نے ( جواب میں صرف ) فرمایا: «وعليكم» اور تم پر بھی ہو۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Aishah that some of the Jews came to the Prophet(ﷺ) and said: Assam o alaika (death be upon you), O Abul-Qasim! He said: Wa 'alayikum (and also upon you).
