Baab Khawab Ke Aadaab O Ehkaam

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ احْتَرَقَ بَيْتٌ بِالْمَدِينَةِ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ،‏‏‏‏ فَحُدِّثَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِشَأْنِهِمْ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّمَا هَذِهِ النَّارُ عَدُوٌّ لَكُمْ،‏‏‏‏ فَإِذَا نِمْتُمْ فَأَطْفِئُوهَا عَنْكُمْ .

Urdu Translation

ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   مدینہ کا ایک گھر لوگوں سمیت جل گیا جب نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے یہ واقعہ بیان کیا گیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: بیشک آگ تمہاری دشمن ہے، لہٰذا جب تم سونے لگو، تو آگ بجھا دیا کرو ۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Abu Musa said: A house burned down in Al-Madinah, with its occupants inside. The Prophet(ﷺ) was told of what had happened, and he said: 'This fire is an enemy to you. When you go to sleep, extinguish it.'
