Sunan Ibn Majah 3828 - Supplication

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ذَرِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ يُسَيْعٍ الْكِنْدِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْالنُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ الدُّعَاءَ هُوَ الْعِبَادَةُ،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ سورة غافر آية 60 .

Urdu Translation

نعمان بن بشیر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: بیشک دعا ہی عبادت ہے، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ آیت تلاوت فرمائی:«وقال ربكم ادعوني أستجب لكم» اور تمہارے رب نے کہا: دعا کرو ( مجھے پکارو ) میں تمہاری دعا قبول کروں گا ( سورة الغافر: 60 ) ۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Nu'man bin Bashir that : the Messenger of Allah (saas) said: Indeed the supplication is the worship. Then he recited: And your Lord said: Invoke Me, I will respond to you.
