It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Beware of tribulations, for at that time the tongue will be like the blow of a sword.”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْبَيْلَمَانِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِيهِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْفِتَنَ،‏‏‏‏ فَإِنَّ اللِّسَانَ فِيهَا مِثْلُ وَقْعِ السَّيْفِ .

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم فتنوں سے بچے رہنا کیونکہ اس میں زبان ہلانا تلوار چلانے کے برابر ہے ۔
