Sunan Ibn Majah 4079 - Tribulations

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي عَاصِمُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ تُفْتَحُ يَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ فَيَخْرُجُونَ كَمَا قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى:‏‏‏‏ وَهُمْ مِنْ كُلِّ حَدَبٍ يَنْسِلُونَ سورة الأنبياء آية 96 فَيَعُمُّونَ الْأَرْضَ،‏‏‏‏ وَيَنْحَازُ مِنْهُمُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ،‏‏‏‏ حَتَّى تَصِيرَ بَقِيَّةُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فِي مَدَائِنِهِمْ وَحُصُونِهِمْ،‏‏‏‏ وَيَضُمُّونَ إِلَيْهِمْ مَوَاشِيَهُمْ،‏‏‏‏ حَتَّى أَنَّهُمْ لَيَمُرُّونَ بِالنَّهَرِ فَيَشْرَبُونَهُ،‏‏‏‏ حَتَّى مَا يَذَرُونَ فِيهِ شَيْئًا،‏‏‏‏ فَيَمُرُّ آخِرُهُمْ عَلَى أَثَرِهِمْ،‏‏‏‏ فَيَقُولُ قَائِلُهُمْ:‏‏‏‏ لَقَدْ كَانَ بِهَذَا الْمَكَانِ مَرَّةً مَاءٌ،‏‏‏‏ وَيَظْهَرُونَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ،‏‏‏‏ فَيَقُولُ قَائِلُهُمْ:‏‏‏‏ هَؤُلَاءِ أَهْلُ الْأَرْضِ قَدْ فَرَغْنَا مِنْهُمْ،‏‏‏‏ وَلَنُنَازِلَنَّ أَهْلَ السَّمَاءِ حَتَّى إِنَّ أَحَدَهُمْ لَيَهُزُّ حَرْبَتَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَتَرْجِعُ مُخَضَّبَةً بِالدَّمِ،‏‏‏‏ فَيَقُولُونَ:‏‏‏‏ قَدْ قَتَلْنَا أَهْلَ السَّمَاءِ،‏‏‏‏ فَبَيْنَمَا هُمْ كَذَلِكَ،‏‏‏‏ إِذْ بَعَثَ اللَّهُ دَوَابَّ كَنَغَفِ الْجَرَادِ،‏‏‏‏ فَتَأْخُذُ بِأَعْنَاقِهِمْ فَيَمُوتُونَ مَوْتَ الْجَرَادِ،‏‏‏‏ يَرْكَبُ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا،‏‏‏‏ فَيُصْبِحُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ لَهُمْ حِسًّا،‏‏‏‏ فَيَقُولُونَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ رَجُلٌ يَشْرِي نَفْسَهُ وَيَنْظُرُ مَا فَعَلُوا،‏‏‏‏ فَيَنْزِلُ مِنْهُمْ رَجُلٌ قَدْ وَطَّنَ نَفْسَهُ عَلَى أَنْ يَقْتُلُوهُ،‏‏‏‏ فَيَجِدُهُمْ مَوْتَى فَيُنَادِيهِمْ أَلَا أَبْشِرُوا فَقَدْ هَلَكَ عَدُوُّكُمْ،‏‏‏‏ فَيَخْرُجُ النَّاسُ،‏‏‏‏ وَيَخْلُونَ سَبِيلَ مَوَاشِيهِمْ فَمَا يَكُونُ لَهُمْ رَعْيٌ إِلَّا لُحُومُهُمْ،‏‏‏‏ فَتَشْكَرُ عَلَيْهَا كَأَحْسَنِ مَا شَكِرَتْ مِنْ نَبَاتٍ أَصَابَتْهُ قَطُّ .

Urdu Translation

ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یاجوج و ماجوج کھول دئیے جائیں گے، پھر وہ باہر آئیں گے جیسا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا:«وهم من كل حدب ينسلون» یہ لوگ ہر اونچی زمین سے دوڑتے آئیں گے ( سورة الأنبياء: 96 ) پھر ساری زمین میں پھیل جائیں گے، اور مسلمان ان سے علاحدہ رہیں گے، یہاں تک کہ جو مسلمان باقی رہیں گے وہ اپنے شہروں اور قلعوں میں اپنے مویشیوں کو لے کر پناہ گزیں ہو جائیں گے، یہاں تک کہ یاجوج و ماجوج نہر سے گزریں گے، اس کا سارا پانی پی کر ختم کر دیں گے، اس میں کچھ بھی نہ چھوڑیں گے، جب ان کے پیچھے آنے والوں کا وہاں پر گزر ہو گا تو ان میں کا کوئی یہ کہے گا کہ کسی زمانہ میں یہاں پانی تھا، اور وہ زمین پر غالب آ جائیں گے، تو ان میں سے کوئی یہ کہے گا: ان اہل زمین سے تو ہم فارغ ہو گئے، اب ہم آسمان والوں سے لڑیں گے، یہاں تک کہ ان میں سے ایک اپنا نیزہ آسمان کی طرف پھینکے گا، وہ خون میں رنگا ہوا لوٹ کر گرے گا، پس وہ کہیں گے: ہم نے آسمان والوں کو بھی قتل کر دیا، خیر یہ لوگ اسی حال میں ہوں گے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ چند جانور بھیجے گا، جو ٹڈی کے کیڑوں کی طرح ہوں گے، جو ان کی گردنوں میں گھس جائیں گے، یہ سب کے سب ٹڈیوں کی طرح مر جائیں گے، ان میں سے ایک پر ایک پڑا ہو گا، اور جب مسلمان اس دن صبح کو اٹھیں گے، اور ان کی آہٹ نہیں سنیں گے تو کہیں گے: کوئی ایسا ہے جو اپنی جان ہتھیلی پر رکھ کر کے انہیں دیکھ کر آئے کہ یاجوج ماجوج کیا ہوئے؟ چنانچہ مسلمانوں میں سے ایک شخص ( قلعہ سے ) ان کا حال جاننے کے لیے نیچے اترے گا، اور دل میں خیال کرے گا کہ وہ مجھ کو ضرور مار ڈالیں گے، خیر وہ انہیں مردہ پائے گا، تو مسلمانوں کو پکار کر کہے گا: سنو! خوش ہو جاؤ! تمہارا دشمن ہلاک ہو گیا، یہ سن کر لوگ نکلیں گے اور اپنے جانور چرنے کے لیے آزاد چھوڑیں گے، اور ان کے گوشت کے سوا کوئی چیز انہیں کھانے کے لیے نہ ملے گی، اس وجہ سے ان کا گوشت کھا کھا کر خوب موٹے تازے ہوں گے، جس طرح کبھی گھاس کھا کر موٹے ہوئے تھے ۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Gog and Magog people will be set free and they will emerge as Allah says: swoop(ing) down from every mound. [21:96] They will spread throughout the earth, and the Muslims will flee from them until the remainder of the Muslims are in their cities and fortresses, taking their flocks with them. They will pass by a river and drink from it, until they leave nothing behind, and the last of them will follow in their footsteps and one of them will say: 'There was once water in this place.' They will prevail over the earth, then their leader will say: 'These are the people of the earth, and we have finished them off. Now let us fight the people of heaven!' Then one of them will throw his spear towards the sky, and it will come back down smeared with blood. And they will say: 'We have killed the people of heaven.' While they are like that, Allah will send a worm like the worm that is found in the noses of sheep, which will penetrate their necks and they will die like locusts, one on top of another. In the morning the Muslims will not hear any sound from them, and they will say: 'Who will sell his soul for the sake of Allah and see what they are doing?' A man will go down, having prepared himself to be killed by them, and he will find them dead, so he will call out to them: 'Be of good cheer, for your enemy is dead!' Then the people will come out and let their flocks loose, but they will not have anything to graze on except their flesh, and they will become very fat as if they were grazing on the best vegetation they ever found.'
