Baab Jannat Ka Wasf Aur Is Ki Naimaton Ka Tazkira

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْعَدَنِيُّ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِيهِ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ ثُمَّ لَتُسْأَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيمِ سورة التكاثر آية 8،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ:‏‏‏‏ وَأَيُّ نَعِيمٍ نُسْأَلُ عَنْهُ،‏‏‏‏ وَإِنَّمَا هُوَ الْأَسْوَدَانِ التَّمْرُ وَالْمَاءُ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَمَا إِنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ.

Urdu Translation

زبیر بن عوام رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   جب آیت: «ثم لتسألن يومئذ عن النعيم» پھر تم سے اس دن نعمتوں کے بارے میں پوچھا جائے گا ( سورة اتكاثر: 8 ) نازل ہوئی، تو انہوں نے کہا: کن نعمتوں کے بارے میں ہم سے پوچھا جائے گا؟ یہاں تو صرف دو کالی چیزیں: پانی اور کھجور ہی میسر ہیں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: عنقریب نعمتیں حاصل ہوں گی ۔

English Translation

It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Zubair bin ‘Awwam that his father said: “When the following was reveled: “Then on that Day you shall be asked about the delights (you indulged in, in this world)! [102:8] Zubair said: ‘What delights shall we be asked about? It is only the two black ones, dates and water.’ He said: ‘It is going to happen.’”
