Baab Jannat Ka Wasf Aur Is Ki Naimaton Ka Tazkira

حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ،‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ دَرَّاجًا حَدَّثَهُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ يَتَوَاضَعُ لِلَّهِ سُبْحَانَهُ دَرَجَةً،‏‏‏‏ يَرْفَعُهُ اللَّهُ بِهِ دَرَجَةً،‏‏‏‏ وَمَنْ يَتَكَبَّرُ عَلَى اللَّهِ دَرَجَةً،‏‏‏‏ يَضَعُهُ اللَّهُ بِهِ دَرَجَةً،‏‏‏‏ حَتَّى يَجْعَلَهُ فِي أَسْفَلِ السَّافِلِينَ .

Urdu Translation

ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جس نے اللہ تعالیٰ کی رضا مندی کے لیے ایک درجہ تواضع کیا، تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کا ایک درجہ بلند کر دے گا، اور جو اللہ تعالیٰ پر ایک درجہ تکبر اختیار کرے گا، تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کو ایک درجہ نیچے کر دے گا، یہاں تک کہ اس کو تمام لوگوں سے نیچے درجہ میں کر دے گا ۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever humbles himself one degree for the sake of Allah, Allah will raise him in status one degree, and whoever behaves arrogantly towards Allah one degree, Allah will lower him in status one degree, until He makes him among the lowest of the low.”
