It was narrated from Salim that his father said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘There is no envy except in two cases. A man to whom Allah has given (knowledge of) the Qur’an, so he recites it night and day, and a man to whom Allah has given wealth, so he spends it night and day.’”

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سَالِمٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِيهِ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا حَسَدَ إِلَّا فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ:‏‏‏‏ رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ الْقُرْآنَ فَهُوَ يَقُومُ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ،‏‏‏‏ وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ مَالًا فَهُوَ يُنْفِقُهُ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ .

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: رشک و حسد کے لائق صرف دو لوگ ہیں: ایک وہ شخص جسے اللہ تعالیٰ نے قرآن کا علم عطا کیا، تو وہ اسے دن رات پڑھتا ہے، دوسرا وہ جسے اللہ تعالیٰ نے مال عطا کیا، تو وہ اسے دن رات ( نیک کاموں میں ) خرچ کرتا ہے ۔
