Baab Jannat Ka Wasf Aur Is Ki Naimaton Ka Tazkira

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى،‏‏‏‏ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْزَمَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ أَبِي ثُبَيْتٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي الْجَوْزَاءِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ مَنْ مَلَأَ اللَّهَ أُذُنَيْهِ مِنْ ثَنَاءِ النَّاسِ خَيْرًا،‏‏‏‏ وَهُوَ يَسْمَعُ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَهْلُ النَّارِ مَنْ مَلَأَ أُذُنَيْهِ مِنْ ثَنَاءِ النَّاسِ شَرًّا،‏‏‏‏ وَهُوَ يَسْمَعُ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جنتی وہ ہے جس کے کان اللہ تعالیٰ لوگوں کی اچھی تعریف سے بھر دے، اور وہ اسے سنتا ہو، اور جہنمی وہ ہے جس کے کان اللہ تعالیٰ لوگوں کی بری تعریف سے بھر دے، اور وہ اسے سنتا ہو ۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The people of Paradise are those whose ears Allah fills with the praise of people when they are listening, and the people of Hell- fire are those whom He fills their ears with condemnation when they are listening.”
