It was narrated from Anas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The son of Adam grows old but two things remain young in him: His craving for wealth and his craving for a long life.”

حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الضَّرِيرُ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَنَسٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَال رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ يَهْرَمُ ابْنُ آدَمَ وَيَشِبُّ مِنْهُ اثْنَتَانِ:‏‏‏‏ الْحِرْصُ عَلَى الْمَالِ،‏‏‏‏ وَالْحِرْصُ عَلَى الْعُمُرِ .

انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ابن آدم ( انسان ) بوڑھا ہو جاتا ہے، اور اس کی دو خواہشیں جوان ہو جاتی ہیں: مال کی ہوس، اور عمر کی زیادتی کی تمنا ۔
